The LEONARD Personality Inventory (LPI) is a personality profiling approach developed by Professor Dr. Leonard Yong. It explores behavioral tendencies across five dimensions to support greater self-awareness and understanding of how individuals may communicate, relate and respond in different situations.
The five dimensions are Openness, Neutral, Analytical, Relational and Decisive. Each represents different behavioral tendencies that contribute to an individual’s overall personality profile.
No. LPI does not simply place a person into one category. An individual profile reflects the interaction of tendencies across all five dimensions, creating a more nuanced picture of how that person may naturally think, communicate and relate to others.
Yes. The LPI framework identifies 26 personality profiles arising from different combinations of the five behavioral dimensions. During your debrief, the focus is on understanding your own relevant profile rather than learning all 26 profile categories.
No. LPI is a personality profiling and self-awareness tool. It is not a clinical psychological assessment, mental health diagnosis or substitute for professional psychological or medical evaluation.
No. The value of the process goes beyond receiving a report. Your profile is accompanied by a personal debrief to help you interpret the findings, explore how the tendencies may show up in everyday life and identify insights that may support personal development.
Yes. Each person completes their own individual LPI profile. The two profiles can then be explored together during a relationship insight session to better understand similarities, differences, communication preferences and interaction patterns.
No. LPI does not determine compatibility or predict whether a relationship will succeed. It can help explore personality tendencies, similarities, differences, communication preferences and interaction patterns that may influence how two people relate to one another.
The Parent & Child Harmony Profile brings together the individual LPI profiles of a parent and child to explore personality similarities and differences. The aim is to support greater awareness, communication and understanding within the relationship. It is not a parenting assessment or evaluation of parenting ability.
The best option depends on what you would like to understand. You may choose an individual profile for self-awareness and personal growth, or one of the relationship-based options for parent-child or couple insights. If you are unsure, you are welcome to enquire before deciding.
The duration depends on the profile option selected. Each option includes completion of the LPI assessment followed by a personal debrief or insight session. The relevant session duration is provided with each profile option.
Your personality profile and debrief are handled privately and respectfully as part of the profiling process. The discussion is intended to create a comfortable space for you to explore your results and personal insights.
No. LPI explores personality and behavioural tendencies. It does not measure intelligence, aptitude, professional competence or ability.
No. LPI identifies preferred behavioural tendencies and patterns rather than predicting fixed future behaviour. How a person responds may vary depending on the situation, context, experience and choices they make.
